Simone de Beauvoir is considered to be one of the mothers of the feminist movement. She had a close personal relationship with Jean-Paul Sartre. With him, she was also involved in the publication of "Les Temps Modernes", a political journal Sartre founded with Maurice Merleau-Ponty.
